Web Strategy & Design — Before the 2008 elections, I began consulting with the Working Families Party. I dusted off their static brochure-like website to build a dynamic platform for engaging NY residents. We turned a description of their ideals and hopes into examples of their recent success, buttressed by opportunities for action. Recently, their site reached more than one hundred thousand people in a single month, enabling and activating countless individuals to participate in local and state politics. We reached more than ten times their former site’s peak audience — the impact has been incredible. Guiding the organization through a careful and strategic design process enabled me to help them maximize their nascent potential.
As with most of my web projects, I was fully responsible for design and development, including the implementation of an open source content management system.
